The rooms at Yuugiriso were absolutely cozy and inviting! The tatami floors and Japanese futon bedding made me feel like I was truly living the traditional Japanese experience. After a long day of exploring Hakone, it was pure bliss to relax in the room's comfort.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the private toilet in the room. But hey, that's just me.

I had a wonderful time at Yuugiriso in Hakone. the location, facilities, and service were all excellent. the hotel is situated in a beautiful area, accessible by train, cable-car, and boat. the rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. the food, both breakfast and dinner, was delicious and served in the privacy of our own room. the onsen experience was also fantastic, with both indoor and outdoor pools available. it was a great value and a memorable experience. Cons: Nothing not to like. 😊.

The traditional Japanese room was amazing, with futon-style bedding on a tatami floor and paper screens dividing the space. The personal waitress served delicious traditional food and we loved the experience of eating in our room. The location was superb, surrounded by beautiful trees and gardens, and close to the river. The onsen was a true highlight with perfect temperature and wonderful restful atmosphere.
The rooms were a little outdated, with signs and equipment in Japanese only. The communication was somewhat limited and the language barrier was sometimes frustrating.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The hot springs were absolutely wonderful, especially the open-air one. Sitting in the hot water while the air was slightly chilly was pure bliss. Plus, I hardly saw any other guests using the hot spring, so it felt really private. The service was top-notch too. The staff were so kind and helpful, from setting up the futons to making tea. They even gave us tips on nearby attractions and restaurants.
All in all, everything was great during my stay at this hotel.

Hotel facilities, location near Asho lake, staff, and breakfast were all amazing. The traditional Japanese room was spacious and equipped with everything we needed. The hotel's onsen was a dream come true and open all night. The staff spoke multiple languages and was welcoming beyond expectations. The breakfast was unique and can only be found in ryokans. The hotel’s location was perfect, being close to the beautiful Asho lake and offering easy access to the Hakone circuit and bus terminal.
Nothing could have been better.

Staying at a traditional Ryokan in Japan was a unique experience. the futon and yukatas provided a comfortable and cozy night's sleep. the breakfast was plentiful and had a variety of dishes to try. the location was great for exploring the area and public transportation was easily accessible.
The limited options for dining out at night in the area. Many restaurants closed early which left limited options.
